When do I have to complete my CE?

The compliance date is the last day of the license issuance month every 2 years.
Per AZ Commissioner's Rule R4-28-402(C), students may only complete up to 9 credit hours of CE per day. Please take this into consideration when choosing to start your course, especially if you are extremely close to your expiration date. Course completion is based on Central Time Zone. |

What are the study requirements for my courses?
|
|
|
Agents must read the course material prior to taking the final exam.
Per AZ Commissioner's Rule R4-28-402(C), students may only complete up to 9 credit hours of CE per day. The Arizona Department of Real Estate requires that all students spend a minimum amount of seat time engaged in the course content. All courses must take the minimum amount of time it is approved for based on 50 minute hours. Ex. if the course is approved for 3 "clock hours" it must take a minimum of 150 minutes for the student to complete. Our system will track this for you. |

What are the exam requirements for my courses?
|

|
Final exams are required by ADRE and must be passed with at least an 80% and may be taken as many times as necessary in order to pass.
|

When will my course completions be reported?
|
|
|
CE Providers do not report course completions to the state.
Licensees must report all courses taken on the state's website at Arizona Department of Real Estate before they can renew their license. |

Certificates of Completion
|
|
|
Immediately upon real estate course completion, GeeWhiz Real Estate School will provide you with an electronic copy of your course certificate of completion. Customer service will have access to your certificates of completion in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies at a later time.
You are responsible for uploading your course completion information (including the ADRE course number and completion date) directly to the Arizona Real Estate Commission (ADRE) online portal during your renewal. Please retain your certificates in your personal records for at least five years in the event of a Department audit. |

Can I repeat a course I've already taken?
|
|
|
No. You may not receive credit for the same course (specifically the same ADRE course number) more than once within the same 24-month renewal period.
While you are required to take courses in the same mandatory categories (such as Agency Law or Contract Law) each time you renew, you must ensure that the specific course title or course number is different from others you have completed during your current two-year cycle. |

Can excess hours be carried over?
|
|
|
No. Continuing education hours must be completed during the current 24-month renewal period. Any credit hours earned in excess of the required 24 hours (for Salespersons/Associate Brokers) or 30 hours (for Designated Brokers) cannot be carried over or applied to a subsequent renewal period.
Each renewal cycle requires a "fresh start." You may only apply credits to your renewal that were earned after your previous license was issued and before your current license expires. |
