When do I have to complete my CE?

The compliance date for completing your continuing education is December 31st of each year.
However, to ensure your license is renewed on time and remains in "active" status without penalty, the Arkansas Real Estate Commission strongly encourages licensees to complete their CE and submit their renewal by September 30th. Please take these dates into consideration when starting your courses to ensure you have sufficient time to complete the material and receive your certificates before the end-of-year deadline. |

What are the study requirements for my courses?

Agents must read the course material and engage with all interactive elements, including quizzes and knowledge checks, prior to taking the final exam.
To receive credit, you must successfully complete the course in its entirety and achieve a passing score on the final assessment. The Arkansas Real Estate Commission requires that distance education courses provide a comprehensive learning experience; therefore, students must move through all modules and interactive components to ensure mastery of the subject matter. |

What are the exam requirements for my courses?

Continuing Education courses do not currently have a final exam requirement.

When will my course completions be reported?
|
|
|
We report course completions to Arkansas Real Estate Commission the next business day.
Review with Austin: Self-Reporting: If your hours do not appear or if you are renewing close to the deadline, you may "self-report" by emailing your certificate of completion to [email protected]. |

Certificates of Completion
|

|
Immediately upon real estate course completion being reported, GeeWhiz Real Estate School will provide you with an electronic copy of your course certificate of completion. Customer service will have access to your certificates of completion in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies at a later time.
Please keep these certificates in your personal files. While GeeWhiz reports your hours to the Commission, you are not required to submit physical copies with your renewal unless specifically requested by the Arkansas Real Estate Commission for verification or during a random audit. |

Can I repeat a course I've already taken?
|
|
|
No. You may not receive credit for the same course more than once within the same calendar year.
If you have already completed a specific course for your current annual renewal requirement, you must select a different course to fulfill your remaining hours. Please verify your records or previous certificates of completion before enrolling to ensure you are eligible for the credits. |

Can excess hours be carried over?
|
|
|
No. Continuing education hours must be completed within the current annual license term. Any hours earned in excess of the required 7 hours cannot be carried over or applied to a future renewal year.
All CE must be completed by December 31st each year to maintain an active license for the upcoming calendar year. Credits earned in one calendar year are applied strictly to that year's renewal requirement. |
