When do I have to complete my CE?

Your continuing education must be completed before you submit your license renewal application. In Kansas, licenses expire every two years on the last day of your birth month.

Seat Time
|
|
|
The Kansas Real Estate Commission requires that all students spend a minimum amount of seat time engaged in the course content. Our online course delivery system manages this requirement for you.

What are the study requirements for my courses?

Agents must complete the course modules in the order they are presented. You cannot skip ahead or jump to the final assessment without engaging with all preceding instructional material.
As agents complete the course modules, they must pass all quizzes and the final assessment with a 90% or greater. |

After completing the course modules, you must pass the quizzes and final exam with a 90% or greater.

When will my course completions be reported?
|
|
|
We report course completions to Kansas Real Estate Commission the next business day.
|
|
Certificates of Completion
|
|
|
Immediately upon real estate course completion being reported, GeeWhiz Real Estate School will provide you with an electronic copy of your course certificate of completion. Customer service will have access to your certificates of completion in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies at a later time.
Please keep these certificates in your personal files. While GeeWhiz reports your hours to the Commission, you are not required to submit physical copies with your renewal unless specifically requested by the Kasas Real Estate Commission for verification or during a random audit. |

Can I repeat a course I've already taken?
|
|
|
No. You cannot receive credit for taking the same course more than once within the same two-year renewal cycle.
The Commission tracks credits by the specific KREC course number. If you attempt to submit hours for a course number that is already on your record for your current cycle, the system will not count those hours toward your 12-hour requirement. |

Can excess hours be carried over?
|
|
|
No. Continuing education credits do not roll over to the following licensing term. All 12 hours must be completed within your current two-year renewal cycle. Any hours earned beyond the required 12 will not be applied to your next renewal.
